Everybody has a monster in mind. Let me draw yours!
I am an artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. Draw Me A Monster was born in 2016, on a family road trip in Europe. My two young sons, tired of waiting for me to sketch another cathedral, demanded – and I quote – “Draw monsters!” Frankly, I was happy to ditch the cathedral sketch – it was starting to bore me, too. For the rest of the afternoon, I drew whatever creatures came out from the minds of two elementary schoolers. Core memory.
Since that time, I've made monsters for people of all ages all over the world – more than 2,000 and counting!
I am like a human AI: you give me monster prompts, I run them through my mind and paint a creature that you imagined! But, unlike AI, we are both humans, now forever connected with a very real art piece that came from both our minds.
Before I got into monsters I was a grownup with a grownup job. For over 20 years, I worked in advertising as an art director and writer; before that, as a graphic designer. At one time or another I was a font designer and an ice cream cake maker.
In addition to monsters, I make illustrations for editorials, children’s books, concept boards, and ads. My work has been exhibited in Toronto, Berlin, Mexico City and Quebec City. You can see it on my Portfolio page. So, you have a monster or project in mind, reach out and let’s imagine something beautiful together!
My art business is a designated “Trusted Art Seller” with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
